
Dawn-Marie Ickes, MPT, PhD serves as an Associate Professor at Mount Saint Mary’s University, Los Angeles, where she teaches Advanced Orthopedics, Complementary Medicine, Integrative Wellness in the PT Environment, and directs the MSMU Pilates Pro Bono Clinic. Her academic and clinical expertise in pelvic health is complemented by her integrative method of habitual pattern analysis, which focuses on restoring function and promoting whole-body health through specialized techniques. Dr. Ickes utilizes Visceral Manipulation, CranioSacral Therapy, and other integrative modalities to support movement re-education and optimize treatment outcomes. Her extensive background in kinesiology, fascial mechanics, dissection, osteopathic manual therapies, and Pilates has been instrumental in developing her comprehensive approach to health and wellness. In addition to her academic roles, she is the owner of Evolve Integrative Wellness Physical Therapy and Pilates, where she specializes in Integrative Corrective Exercise, Performance/Dance Medicine, and Women’s Health. Professor Ickes has developed educational programs for fitness and healthcare professionals that bridge the gap between medical and movement science, creating opportunities for a seamless continuum of care across various settings.
