Chris Frederick

Chris Frederick has been an integrative physical therapist since 1989. In addition to practicing in physical medicine and rehabilitation, general orthopedic and sports medicine settings, he has had a specialty practice in Dance Medicine physical therapy since 1993. He has been a practitioner of Anatomy Trains® Structural Integration since 2003. A former professional contemporary ballet dancer, Chris was also a teacher of tai chi chuan and qigong. Co-creator & teacher of Fascia Stretch Therapy™ at the Stretch to Win Institute in greater Phoenix, Arizona, he has been a SME (subject matter expert) in flexibility and stretching with the NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) since 2019. Chris is co-author of the books Fascial Stretch Therapy & “Stretch to Win”, as well as contributing author to 8 books (majority about medical applications, research & science of fascia). He is a founding member of the Fascia Research Society since 2007 and is passionate about clinical applications of fascia science, biotensegrity and ancient whole body movement systems like tai chi, qigong, martial arts and yoga. Chris is also a big fan of implementing principles from Taoism philosophy combined with the Complexity Theory of Everything.
